The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Electrosoft another prime contract for IT Audit Support Services to assist DLA IT Operations (J6) with preventing and remediating IT audit findings. Valued up to $8.5 million, this is the second three-year follow-on contract awarded to Electrosoft for J6 IT Audit Support Services. This newest contract includes a one-year base period of performance plus two option years.
“DLA models best practices when it comes to proactively managing and monitoring compliance and risk mitigation. The J6 team self-identifies and resolves potential risks to operate from a position of strength,” said Mike Tillman, Electrosoft COO. “We are honored to continue supporting DLA J6 in advancing their proactive IT audit posture.”
Like all federal and DOD agencies, DLA requires federal IT audit expertise to assist them with audit compliance with Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Financial Improvement and Readiness (FIAR) guidance, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines and other federal IT controls.
Located at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, DLA J6 has oversight of all audit activities conducted for DLA’s IT hardware, software, software development and other IT services across the agency. Over the past few years, DLA J6 has undergone both internal and external audits. Under the contract, Electrosoft provides consulting, advising, knowledge transfer and research to support the remediation of IT findings, prevention of future IT findings and understanding of options for various scenarios.
Since the initial DLA J6 IT Audit Support Services contract in 2018, Electrosoft has been awarded DLA J8 Audit and DLA AGA Audit contracts, making Electrosoft one of DLA’s top audit advisory service providers.
