DLA Awards Electrosoft a New Prime Contract for IT Audit and Internal Control Testing Support September 9, 2024

The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Electrosoft a new contract for IT audit and internal control testing support. Under the two-year prime contract, Electrosoft will help establish and support the agency’s Internal Controls testing and audit Notice of Findings Report (NFR) resolution. Additionally, the company will provide consultation and assistance in the prevention and remediation of future IT findings, and in gaining an understanding of options for handling various control scenarios.

“Systematic preparation for IT audits is a best practice, improving an agency’s audit outcomes, helping ensure ongoing compliance with federal requirements, and strengthening the internal controls that protect systems and information,” said Dr. Sarbari Gupta, CEO of Electrosoft. “We are pleased to be able to expand our extensive IT audit support for the DLA.”

DLA has set for itself an annual requirement for internal and external audit testing. In addition to the hands-on assistance with the initiative, Electrosoft will help the agency establish baselines, develop procedures, and create related material to help ensure best practices and compliance with relevant guidelines such as:

  • Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM)
  • Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)
  • Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE)
  • Financial Improvement and Readiness (FIAR) guidance
  • National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance
  • OMB A-123 Internal Controls
  • Other federal audits and general federal IT Controls, including Business Process Application Controls (BPACs)
